Young Women Initiative for Development (YWIDE) 2023

The project's main objective is to address menstrual hygiene management among 10-16 year old girls at school. It aims to improve access to sanitation services, provide information on menstrual hygiene and connect girls to health services to prevent infections and related problems. This is crucial, as many girls drop out of school due to lack of adequate facilities to deal with their menstruation. Specific objectives include creating a supportive school environment, improving schools' capacity in menstrual hygiene and raising awareness among girls about appropriate practices to combat taboos and myths that can affect their education.
