Integrated Youth Empowerment Center (IYEC) 2023

Since 2017 Cameroon's armed conflict has triggered a severe humanitarian crisis leaving 700,000 children without access to education, 70% of whom are girls. These girls are highly vulnerable to harmful practices such as early marriages and female genital mutilation. The IYEC project aims to prevent girls from dropping out of school by directly supporting their enrolment and retention, providing school fees and supplies, and creating awareness campaigns. It also supports families in creating productive activities to promote their children's education.
